Well it depends on the circumstances. A dog that almost barks in rhythm and tune with devotees singing the Maha-mantra in the streets of a city is very fortunate indeed. Yes she would be more fortunate than a famous celebrity who has no interest or idea of god. Karma comes and go- stay detached. The celebrity is very lucky indeed. He has had great karma. This has given him a lovely body with great skill. It has given him a wonderful subtle body too, formed of mind, intelligence and false ego. This has desired a propensity to enjoy in a particular way facilitated by Lord Krishna. The impressions of previous lives create affinity in this one. The celebrity has developed an affinity for his or her sport. His birth and surrounding circumstances have all been allowed by Krishna through his previous interactions in the modes of nature, accumulating the proper karma for a tendency to this activity in this birth. As Lord Krishna reminds us in the Bhagavad-Gita As it is: "Never consider yourself tthe cause of the results of your activities" (B.G. 2.47). The First Mantra of the glorious Isopanisad tells us that Krishna is the ultimate controller of all manifestations, tendencies and personalities- heroic or otherwise The dog in question had a glorious past life too. The dog's fabulous association will give it the ability, very soon, in a future life to associate further with devotees. Yet the celebrity's good karma once extinguished may need further pious acts to be replicate. It may take the celebrity many births to get back into the same position again, where he might have the resources to assist devotees of Lord Krishna.

Don't be envious.

If someone has something material that one doesn't don't be concerned. Instead focus your time following, emulating and learning from great bhakti-practitioners so that you can elevate your spiritual life and progress on your journey back to Godhead. Lord Krishna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, kindly reminds us: "He is a perfect yogi (devotee) who, by comparision to his own self, sees the true equality of all beings, in both their happiness and distress, O Arjuna!" (B.G 6.32). Afterall, the truth is no one, celebrity or dog, whilst they are in the material world can avoid birth, death, old-age and disease.
